Cashane Junior Rangers

Is a survival school where young boys and girls are taught basic survival skills and given the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor classroom, or our 'Base Camp', while learning how to make and shoot katties and bow and arrows, how to make fish traps, shelters, fires, and how to set traps and snares to catch food in a survival situation. They also practice important skills such as finding food and water in the bush.
From 9 to 11am at Melon Rouge Eatery just outside Magaliesburg, on selected dates.

Rangers learn something new at every lesson, while also learning to persevere when things don't work out the first time. Activities are designed to be fun-while-learning and self-reliance and teamwork is encouraged. Our philosophy is based on showing children that all of life on earth is interconnected and that there are always resources, natural or human, available no matter what the situation. Sustainability and the importance of careful conservation of natural resources is a value that underpins all our activities.
